Basic Skincare Tips for Healthy Skin

We often go for pricey skincare products to keep our skin healthy and glowing. But there are some habits that we can apply in our everyday lives to take care of our skin so easily. Let’s discuss what they are:

1. Drink plenty of water

It is the most natural way of getting a healthy skin because it not only hydrates your body but also remove toxins or in other words poisonous substances from our body. It also improves skin complexion, promotes weight loss, boosts the immune system and many more.

An average adult should drink at least 11-15 cups of water daily. So if you are not drinking enough then start the habit of drinking more water.

2. Eat healthy foods

As you probably have heard this phrase that “you are what you eat”. Its absolutely true if you eat more oily foods your skin will more likely to have oil and hence acne. And If you eat fresh and pure your skin will become fresh and healthy. The best foods for healthy skin are avocados, berries, pineapple, fish, tomato, cucumber, watermelon, ginger. Including these in your diet will definitely improve your skin.

3. Use sunscreen

Sunscreen which is also known as sunblock is very important to protect the skin from harmful rays of the sun. Apply sunscreen every day even if you’re not going outside in the sun. It not only helps protect your skin from UV rays of the sun. But also

• Prevents Premature Aging

• Lowers Skin Cancer Risks

• Prevents Sunburns

• Prevents Tanning

• Enhances Health of the Skin

So to protect your skin you should apply sunblock on your skin regardless of your skin color or the weather outside. Spf which is skin protection factor should be 30 or more.

4. Exfoliate your skin regularly

Exfoliation is the removal of dry/dead skin cells from the surface of your skin and is one of the most important aspects of your home skincare routine.

It increases blood circulation, which in turn helps you to achieve healthy and glowing skin. Use scrubs or exfoliants at least twice a week. However, if your skin is sensitive using scrubs twice a week is not recommended. But those who have oily skin should definitely use scrubs regularly to kill the bacteria and prevent acne. Also if after exfoliating you feel your skin is dry, you can apply moisturizer and drink water. Again there are a lot of facial scrubs in the market but you can also simply make one at home by mixing honey and sugar.

5. Take off your makeup before sleeping

If you are someone who is used to going to bed with their foundation on you are severely damaging your skin. It badly affects all skin types but especially ones with oily skin yeah they will see the result the next with a pimple. So  Its very very important to take off your makeup before going to bed. And Its even better if you use cleanser and moisturizer after that.

6. Sleep at least 7-8 hours

Sleeping well helps to improve your mood the next day but also helps in preventing dark circles under eyes and make your skin look younger and healthier. On the other hand not sleeping well contributes to weight gain, accelerates the aging process and decrease your blood flow around your face causing your skin to dry. So try to sleep at least 7-8 hrs at night.
